Colin "Tiny" Nelson was recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours with an OAM for his service to the Goodwood Saints Football Club for more than 50 years.

Most people around the club and the respective leagues (SAAFL and MSJFL) would know of Tiny and the tremendous amount of work that he has done for the club over all of these years.  He is passionate about the club and has devoted many tireless hours of work to contribute to its success over the years.

Tiny has filled a huge number of roles and still serves at committee level as an SAAFL delegate and training manager.

Football  Director Andrew Mattner says that the club wouldn't function without Tiny's hard work.  "Tiny does so much work around the club which makes all our jobs as volunteers so much easier.  He is always at the club or at training making sure the right equipment is there, he transports all of the gear to away games, attends SAAFL meetings when many of us do not have the time to do so, together with being a forward scout for the A grade coach.  Tiny can take a lot of credit for the ongoing success of the club" he said.

The club would like to congratulate Tiny on his ward and sincerely thank him for all the hard work he has done over the years.
