Saints beat Gaza

10 July 2011

The Goodwood Saints have defeated the previously unbeaten Gaza by 21 points in their clash at Goodwood Oval. Led by 4 goals from Best on Ground Anthony Dempsey, the Saints lead for most of the contest before kicking away in the final quarter for an important win. The win keeps the Saints in second position one game clear of the chasing Henley and SHOC sides. Coach Trent Mills kept a lid on the win afterwards describing it as important but stressing that the team now moves forward to an equally important match with Eastern Park.
