Saints stars David Bartel and Simon Brooks have each played their 150th game for the club in the thrilling win over Henley at Goodwood Oval. This achievement makes them eligible for life membership of the football club.
Bartel commenced with the club in 2004 and has played in 6 grand finals, captaining the club to 5 consecutive victories from 2005 to 2009. He has won 2 Allan Statton medals as best on ground in the grand final and 2 Eric Pfitzner medals for the Best and Fairest player in the division 1 competition. He is also a two time Saints Best and Fairest winner.
Brooks started with the club in 2003 under coach Trevor Hill. He has played in 4 division 1 premiership sides as vice captain. His hard running skillful style has earned him accolades and he was rewarded by being selected in the SAAFL state side. Brooks has been a fantastic servant off the field as well and has been a volunteer wherever possible. He currently serves on the clubs executive committee.
Congratulations to two great and popular clubmen.
